#301 The Best Album of 1989, Round 1 Match #56: Steve Reich vs. Concrete Blonde

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

First pic: A brown-tinted photo of railroad tracks. There are five of them, each right next to each other, and arranged vertically from the top of the frame to the bottom. The idea is also to suggest the frets of a guitar, as half the album is about trains and the other half is a composition just for guitar. Second pic: So this is five drawings on a black background with hand-drawn stars. There are four figures across the horizontal section, and one below that. Each of the first four figures is reminiscent of the kings, queen, jacks of playing cards, but they have a kind of ancient Babylonian feel. (My apologies for not knowing the culture of the figures in the drawings.) The first one has a hat and shoulder length hair, and a scorpion tail. The second are two king-like people, facing away from each other but enjoined at the back. The third is I think a woman, holding a sword. The fourth has a crown like a king on aplying card, but his lower half appears to be a lion; he holds up his right arm/paw and holds his tail with his left paw. Below them is a cherub-type figure, arms outstretched.
