#300 Best Album of 1989 Tournament: Week #11 Wrap-Up
Hey folks!

Another week is done! This means Round 1 has only two weeks left, and when Round 1 is over, that means the entire tournament is half over! Ridiculous, but true.
Less ridiculous but still true is that we had two upsets this week. #94 MARCH squeaked out a win against #35 BLIND MAN’S ZOO by 3 votes, which makes the 3rd thirty-seed to lose this tournament (and #34 NICK OF TIME only won because of the tie-breaking rule). #38 THE SEEDS OF LOVE, watch your back! The second upset came when #78 THE CACTUS ALBUM handily defeated #51 HERE TODAY, TOMORROW NEXT WEEK! by 23 votes. Lesson: don’t put Einar on your album.
LAST WEEK’S RESULTS
On Monday, #30 Camper Van Beethoven, KEY LIME PIE defeated #99 Ice-T, THE ICEBERG/FREEDOM OF SPEECH ...JUST WATCH WHAT YOU SAY, 88-32-2. (122 total votes, +56)
On Tuesday, #94 Michael Penn, MARCH defeated #35 10,000 Maniacs, BLIND MAN'S ZOO, 80-77-2. (159 total votes, +3)

On Friday, #19 Neneh Cherry, RAW LIKE SUSHI defeated #110 Don Henley, THE END OF THE INNOCENCE, 154-35-3. (192 votes, +119) [FULL DISCLOSURE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, this match ran for 90 minutes longer than intended. I believe a total of 10 votes were cast during that time, divided between the two albums, changing the final outcome in no way whatsoever.]
