#276 Best Album of 1989 Tournament: Week #7 Wrap-Up

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

Bye bye five.

Again, nothing particularly exciting to note this week. Yes, we had an upset — #66 Bob Dylan, OH MERCY over #63 The Primitives, PURE — but is that really an upset? That’s more like a coin flip. (OH MERCY only won by 8 so it kind of was one.) (Then again, the one match that really should’ve been a coin flip — #64 Mötley Crüe, DR. FEELGOOD vs #65 Beat Happening, BLACK CANDY — was a 47 vote blowout by the underdog.) (Okay, have we filled this paragraph with enough parentheticals to say we wrote an introduction? I vote yes.)

LAST WEEK’S RESULTS

On Monday, #21 Lou Reed, NEW YORK defeated #108 Tone Lōc, LŌC-ED AFTER DARK, 116-25. (141 total votes, +91)
