#275 The Best Album of 1989, Round 1 Match #35: Ministry vs. Sepultura

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

First pic: On a black background, an X-ray of a human skull. There appear to be metal bracers or attachments of some kind within the flesh of the head, two near the nasal area and one on the right side near where the ear would be. Second pic: A painting of a human skull, missing the jaw, done in a way to suggest red lighting, but with many surrealistic touches, including but not limited to: there are roses in the top of the skull, the suggestion of the sun's reflection, cactus or fungi growing out of the side, a screaming bat in the forehead. It appears there is an intact eye in one of the sockets. The top of the skull has a large cracked gap in it, and smoke is wisping out. The intended emotion is dread and horror, and it succeeds.

In case you were wondering, I do not move the seeds or alter them in any way in order to get “cute” matchups, like, say, two albums that both have a skull on the cover. The blame for that lies squarely on the voters.

Yesterday, #66 Bob Dylan, OH MERCY defeated #63 The Primitives, PURE 64-56.

Thanks for listening and voting!
