#257 The Best Album of 1989, Round 1 Match #20: The Cult vs. Lenny Kravitz

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

First pic: A photo of guitarist Billy Duffy, a white guy with long hair that completely covers his face. He's shirtless save a vest, and wears leather pants. He's taking a triumphant pose, with one hand pointed in the air, the other hand on the neck of the guitar, and his legs spread out -- he forms a kind of triangle shape. This is in front of a heavily distorted close up of singer Ian Astbury, his head thrown back and a microphone in his hand. This picture of him is almost totally in red, with some green highlights. Second pic: An extreme close up of Lenny Kravitz, a Black man. All we can see are his right eye, his nose, and lips. He looks into the camera. He has a ring piercing his nostril. He might have a piercing elsewhere out of frame.
