#243 The Best Album of 1989, Round 1 Match #8: “Weird Al” Yankovic vs. The Smithereens

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

First pic: A picture of Weird Al from the shoulders up. He has a long narrow head, a brown mustache, and a big head of curly brown hair. He's wearing a Hawaiian shirt. His eyes are replaced with blue grey TV test patterns. He has a slight grin on his face. The sky behind him is red. Second pic: A giant red "11" takes up most of the cover. Superimposed on the first 1 are the band, four white guys walking. Along the bottom is the silhouette of a running man, a series of positions like a zoetrope. He appears to be running towards pen and ink drawings of Las Vegas-style hotels. It only now occurs to me that maybe this is an oblique reference to the original OCEAN'S 11 film.
