#162 Best Album of 2000 Tournament: Week #21 Wrap-Up
Hey folks!

We will be ending Round 2 this next week! Yay! And going straight into Round 3. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: things move much much faster now, and this tournament will be over before you know it. So enjoy it! Savor it!
Last week, I opined that Round 2 usually sees fewer upsets, because that round is mostly about culling the weaker seeds (#33 and lower) that made it through because they faced other weaker seeds. Then I asked official Best Album Brackets Ombudsman Brian Darr (@hellonfriscobay.bsky.social) for his opinion, as he pays closer attention to stuff like that, moreso than I am able due to both time and, frankly, interest. Here’s what he wrote:

Thanks again, Brian! You see, this is why he’s the Ombudsman.
THE BEST ALBUM OF 2000 PREDICTION BRACKET TOP 20 COUNTDOWN
Not a whole lot to report here: the top three (And He Also Made False Predictions, You have GOT to be Kid A-ing me!, You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Bracket)) are the same. Two notes though. One, it looks like Challonge only totaled up points for four of the five matches. That’s fine, it should come out in the wash (i.e. next week). But two, I noticed that seven-week #1 bracket And He Also Made False Predictions missed a prediction this week, and they are only now one point ahead of #2, instead of three. Depending on the scoring of that missing match, that could foretell some changes!
Otherwise, a few brackets fell a bit, that pushed up a whole bunch of other brackets up a tiny bit, a handful reached new high positions (the blue boxes on the right), and while we lost two brackets (The Votes Made by Sheeple, last week #16 and Will This Be The One? Perhaps!, last week #20), we had no debuts! No debuts! What is this world coming to?
