#16 REMINDER: The Run-Off Tournament is coming May 27th!
Hey folks!
This is just a reminder that we are having a run-off tournament to place one, possibly two, albums in the upcoming Best Album of 2000 tournament. Seventeen albums got 8 nomination votes, which was one less than needed to qualify for the tournament proper, so that will be our pool to draw from. The run-off tournament will be done through Google Forms, and will start on Monday, May 27th, running for about three weeks, Monday through Friday. Each day will be one match, which will run for 24 hours. After the completion of each match, I will send out a newsletter announcing the winner, plus the link to that day’s next match. This means for, approximately three weeks, you’ll be getting a newsletter from me every day, Monday through Friday. Be prepared for that! I’m not sure I’m prepared for that!
I will randomly determine the seeds, using random.org, and will announce those seeds this coming Saturday. Below, in case you missed it, are the 17 albums in the run-off tournament, plus links to hear them.
