#137 Best Album of 2000 Tournament: Week #16 Wrap-Up
Hey ffolkes,
Another week is done, so we’re a week closer to naming the Best Album of 2000. Absolutely no surprises this last week, as all the high seeds defeated their low seed opponents. (Weird trivia: last week’s Tuesday match and the week before’s Tuesday match had the exact same number of votes for winner and loser.) KID A seemingly had a big turnout, but I should note that I accidentally left the match up for 2 hours longer than intended, and I have no idea how many “extra” votes it got (or how many “extra” votes SMILE got!).
THE BEST ALBUM OF 2000 PREDICTION BRACKET TOP 20 COUNTDOWN
This week, the top three changes only by one bracket, as You’re Pretty Good Looking (For a Bracket) moves up 3 to #3, while #2 (You have GOT to be Kid A-ing me!) and #1 (And He Also Made False Predictions) remain the same. The big mover is The Discovery of a World Outside The Polls (11 notches, from #20 to #11), followed closely by Crying at the Idioteque (7 notches, from #17 to #10). Oh Neko, There Art Thou also moves up 6 notches to break back into the Top Ten. Three brackets fall 7 notches this week: Drink Milk (from #13 to #20), Good Fortune (from #9 to #16), and Kid B(eeson) (from #7 to #13).
We have four debuts this week, two of them redebuts: Will This Be The One? Perhaps! re-enters at #19, Millennial Labor debuts at #18, Your Grandchild is a Bracket, Not a Pay Check re-enters at #16, and the highest debut is newcomer The Bewiderbracket at #12. This means we lost a few bracket as well: I’m Sorry Ms. Harvey, I Am Surreal (last week #19), Every Pick In Its Right Place (last week #17) The Color of Molasses (last week #16) and Arthur Fonzarelli in: Kid Ayyyyyyyyyy! (last week #15). Hope to see you all again!
