unquiet / a poem

Sharks suffocate if they stop moving. I do too, I guess.

Ornamentation/border, in shades of teal, red, and yellow. Two fish kiss in the centre. Their faces are red, and their scales are teal, green, yellow, and blue. Two yellow stars are above and below where their lips meet.

LITTLE BLACK NOTEBOOK, VOL. #5

13 Oct 2026

glass chimes

dogs with stars in their mouths

walking the path to the cathedral the sky

is violent blue the leaves pale yellow and

orange the air crisp but not cold

enough yet for gloves, the sun is low all day

it beams into my eyes my lashes turn

my vision golden I do not stop to stare

up at the spires even though I want

to there are men tearing up the herringbone

brick they sit in their van eating lunch I

keep walking

slowly

I do not stop moving

I wish there was a bench nearby where

I could sit I wish I could linger

without drawing attention this is such a

beautiful street I want to linger in

the beauty of this autumnal vision for

just a bit longer please. but I keep

moving.
