I went to my first book club meeting this week. It's a brand new club, which meant everyone was meeting each other for the first time, and equally nervous. I've spoken at book clubs about A Fix of Light, but never attended one as a member. It wasn't as accessible when I lived out in the countryside, but now there are bookshops within spitting distance of my front door. Terrible for my wallet, but hopefully good for my social life.
