Weekly Updates, Capital, and Ideology
Hello Folks!
This week’s blog post is on a concept I use when starting or joining a young team. It helps build accountability and is a tool for radiating intent.
The concept is simple: Every week the team gets together to write a weekly update of their progress.
These updates are focused on the impact or outcome of the work done so far. They give a chance for everyone on the team to flex their communication muscles and show off the work that they’ve been doing.
Give them a shot and let me know how it goes!
Capital and Ideology
I’ve been working my way through Capital and Ideology which is a fascinating read on the origins of who-should-own-what-and-why. I’ve posted a few more thoughts so far in a Twitter thread.
Next Week
Based on a few conversations at work, I’m working on a post titled So You Want to Store a File…. It outlines the best practices for storing, securing, and serving files within a web application.
If you’d like to read an early draft of the post, please respond to this email.
Thanks and until next week!
