A Talk from EmpireJS
Hello Folks!
A week and a half ago, I had the opportunity to speak at EmpireJS. This was a 2-day JavaScript conference in New York with interesting talks ranging from designing keyboard-accessible applications to dealing with JavaScript technical debt.
It was a great 2 days. My talk centered around the history of JavaScript, and how we got to where we’re at today. The talk was essentially a 25-minute long Talking Heads joke.
Before the video is released, you can enjoy the talk in blog post form:
The talk tries to untangle some of the complications around modern JS tooling, and how none of it is really that new. We’ve been dealing with problems like this for decades. Give the talk a read, and I’ll send another missive once the video is posted.
That’s all for now.
