Parks and community centers are off the chopping block – for now. Join our next budget workshop on April 30th to make sure it stays that way.
Dear friends and neighbors,
We’re thrilled to share that last night, the Edmonds City Council voted to officially take the sale of Hummingbird Hill Park, the Frances Anderson Center, and other key city assets off the table—for now.
Last night's victory is a direct result of the dedication and voices of our community. Thank you to everyone who raised their voice to make this happen!
“[O]ur position remains that these assets will always be on the chopping block, always, unless we address the structural issues in our budget, which requires sustained engagement.”
We must continue working together to find lasting solutions, so that our parks and culture centers are never for sale.
That’s why we invite you to join us for our next Budget Visioning Workshop on Monday, April 30th, at 6:30pm at the Frances Anderson Center, Room 115. This session will focus on revenue generation ideas and the next steps in creating a sustainable future for Edmonds.
