Weekly BTS #2023/27 - Keyboard Builders' Digest
Keyboard Builders' Digest // Weekly BTS
Hey y'all,
There were not enough posts for a dedicated issue, but check out my weekly editorial full of behind-the-scenes stuff and links to awesome projects! And feel free to tip me off about your keyboard projects as well.
Here are some links from the full post:
- thpoll's polyglot PolyKybd is ready and working, the repo has to be updated though. More insights in this previous post.
- LifeHackerMax published a video on his chair-mounted, sculpted ergo LHM 32 split project.
- A quick comparison of some low-profile caps by beekeeb.
- The URSA IC went live. This is the nice and unique cap designed by 23_Andreas and made by FKcaps -- for Topre keyboards! (Featured in March.)
- Keychron Camo switches made it to the front page.
- Just like the origami transport bag by FalbaTech, made out of eco-friendly material.
- Hmm. KBDfans sells Gateron magnetic switches. Does this mean Hall-effect boards are going to be mainstream in the foreseeable future?
- Cool but bizarrely looking tenting by @andychiu.
- A cute fighting game controller: Rudebox by @rudeism.
- Inspiration: Striker 80's "pre-rotated" design.
- MCM/70 resurrected by Michael. I posted about this mouth-watering Canadian vintage beauty earlier here.
- Participants of the Crap Games Contest have been competing in writing the crappest Spectrum game possible ever since 1996, presenting us with timeless gems like Sim City: The Text Adventure, Blind Flight Simulator or Whack a Nun II.
