Hi |FNAME|,
Itâs hard to focus on keyboards when history is being written one hourâs drive away. Regardless, here are some DIY keyboard related posts I thought were worth sharing this week: 1. SouthPawEngineer’s Ergozero (https://kbd.news/Ergozero-1273.html) runs KMK firmware on a tiny RP2040 Zero controller. He also made two versions of the Caduceus (https://kbd.news/Caduceus-1285.html) . 2. Cool836pico (https://kbd.news/Cool836pico-1275.html) â An angled monoblock Pico-based keyboard from m.ki. Optionally low-profile and open-source. 3. Quentin’s Charybdis family is extending with the Nano (https://kbd.news/Charybdis-Nano-1276.html) â with open-source case files. 4. The handwired Krangle (https://kbd.news/Krangle-1279.html) by mjongerh has an intimidating amount of keys. 5. A custom Lumberjack PCB (https://kbd.news/Lumberelite-1280.html) by tj_shex using an Elite-C and OLED display. 6. Fingerpunch Keyboardsâ monoblock Rock On (https://kbd.news/Rock-On-keyboard-1281.html) in a mesmerizing case by chewiedies. 7. Diego Palacios’ Cantor (https://kbd.news/Cantor-keyboard-1283.html) is a 42-key diodeless Corne-ish split. 8. Third iteration of David Kincade’s Track Beast (https://kbd.news/Track-Beast-1284.html) â resin edition. 9. Geri00’s gTetris (https://kbd.news/gTetris-1286.html) is a handwired project with a great photolog. 10. Damn Fine Keyboards (https://kbd.news/Damn-Fine-Keyboards-1277.html) is a new PDFzine by CCH Podcast’s Philipp. Check it out and subscribe! 11. The Teletype Model 33 (https://kbd.news/Teletype-Model-33-1274.html) , an electromechanical teleprinter from the ’60s with actual cylinders as its keys. 12. R009k saved a gorgeous Fluke 1720A Programmer Keyboard (https://kbd.news/Fluke-1720A-keyboard-1278.html) from getting thrown out.
Thatâs it. Thanks for reading. This week Iâm heading to the Ukrainian border, which is just an hourâs drive away from where I live. Iâll take food and supplies for refugees. Consider supporting (https://kbd.news/donate) the cause.
