Hi |FNAME|,
Huge thanks to everyone who became a paid subscriber (http://buymeacoffee.com/dovenyi) in the first year of this project! A share of your donations went to the Movember (https://movember.com/) initiative, fighting prostate and testicle cancer.
Back to keyboards, here are the posts I thought were worth sharing this week: 1. Sadek Baroudi’s Baby Groot Keyboard (https://kbd.news/Baby-Groot-Keyboard-1106.html) is a cheap (or free!) split PCB with a lot of features. 2. David Barr’s Parergon (https://kbd.news/Parergon-V2-1107.html) has only 32 keys, so it can be built without diodes. 3. Axel Voitier’s Lergo (https://kbd.news/Lergo-ex-Kyfle-1108.html) (ex-Kyfle) project is an ergo split exploration platform rather than a keyboard. 4. The ErgoChoco (https://kbd.news/ErgoChoco-1109.html) is a well-documented open-source pseudosplit design by Choco617. 5. Alice-like layouts: the Tenalice Ambidextrous (https://kbd.news/Tenalice-Ambidextrous-1114.html) by Cerbekos with a 45° numpad in the center; and variants of the Arisutea (https://kbd.news/Arisutea-variants-1117.html) by mattjames03. 6. Controllers: The Arduino UNO is not your typical keyboard controller, but the limited mini anniversary edition (https://kbd.news/Arduino-UNO-Mini-1104.html) is actually only 34.2mm x 26.7mm. Hmmm. And a more keyboard-friendly contender: the KB2040 Keeboar (https://kbd.news/Adafruit-KB2040-Kee-Boar-1105.html) , this RP2040 based board by Adafruit. 7. ThereminGoat reviewed the Zealio V1 Redux (https://kbd.news/Zealio-V1-Redux-1115.html) switches. 8. Human_Evolution shares his experiences with splatter painting a keyboard (https://kbd.news/Splatter-painted-keycaps-1110.html) in the ‘80/90s style. 9. Keyboard spotting: A battered Tektronix 4014-1 computer terminal (https://kbd.news/Tektronix-4014-1-1111.html) spotted by Jaceveldhuis and an ADDS Viewpoint A2 (https://kbd.news/ADDS-Viewpoint-A2-1112.html) acquired by Eragaurd. 10. Inspiration: FinnGus (https://kbd.news/FinnGus-keyboard-kit-1113.html) is a cat shaped kit inspired by the cats of JackPikatea. 11. Bluesocarrotâs Uncokeeb (https://kbd.news/Uncokeeb-1116.html) is a per-finger chorded keyboard concept/prototype. 12. Typewriters (https://boston.cbslocal.com/2021/11/23/cambridge-typewriter-arlington-business-covid-pandemic/) are popular again.
