Hi |FNAME|,
Here are the things I thought were worth sharing this week: 1. The Gadgetina (https://kbd.news/Gadgetina-a-different-kind-of-mechanical-keyboard-974.html) is a MIDI controller by mpark with the ingenious Wicki-Hayden layout. 2. Fellow builder ScreamingAtTheRadio turned his Atari 130XE (https://kbd.news/Atari-130XE-with-Box-Pinks-976.html) into a mechanical keyboard. 3. A 3D printed keyboard (https://kbd.news/A-board-printed-differently-978.html) by JaminMechKeys with metal rods, giant bolts and rice. RICE! 4. Another 3D printed custom keyboard (https://kbd.news/Wood-filament-concrete-keyboard-977.html) with wood filament and cast concrete - by fejy. 5. The open-source TDPHSK (https://kbd.news/TDPHSK-keyboard-983.html) by ianliu88 is a monoblock split, 3D printed and hotswappable. 6. Thomas Combe writes about his Micro Keyboard V3 (https://kbd.news/Micro-Keyboard-V3-982.html) , a keyboard for his 8-bit computer. Built without a microcontroller. 7. Finishing steps of this gorgeous Dactyl Manuform Tight build (https://kbd.news/Dactyl-Manuform-Tight-finishing-975.html) explained by urban_nurd. 8. Mikoto (https://kbd.news/Mikoto-controller-979.html) is an open-source Bluetooth LE nRF52840 microcontroller in a Pro Micro footprint. Designed by zhiayang. 9. Ajazz x Huano Banana switches (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/praapz/ajazz_x_huano_banana_switch_review/) reviewed by ThereminGoat. 10. Bull Questar (https://kbd.news/Bull-Questar-200-210-980.html) 200 and 210 boards found in an abandoned place in France. Shared by druka-grey. 11. Finally, I thought making a vendor top list (https://kbd.news/top-vendors) based on visitor statistics would be fun. I was proved wrong (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/ppj82q/keyboard_vendor_top_lists/) . Anyway, 40+ new shops and 7 new discount codes listed in the vendor database (https://kbd.news/vendors) .
Thanks for reading. This newsletter is free, but compiling it takes a lot of my time. You can help it keep going: forward it to a friend whoâd like it, or consider supporting it on buymeacoffee (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dovenyi/) .
