Issue #180 - Keyboard Builders' Digest
Keyboard Builders' Digest // Issue #180
Check out this week's editorial with awesome projects, tips, ideas, meetups, discount codes, etc!
Hey y'all,
Here are some of the news I thought were worth sharing this time:
-
I reviewed the amazing Fox65 by Chosfox x Masro – a versatile keyboard packed with features: CNC alu, wireless, modular slider, VIA, and layout options including ISO and split spacebar support for those who prefer these. E.g. me. ;)
-
In the run-up to next week's post about November's community-favorite switches, I've added some features to the switch section. Search, filter by tags, permalinks to lists, etc. Give it a try.
-
Avoid Loobed Switches. Based on various reports and my own experience, something very suspicious is going on there. Keep your wallet safe.
-
Signature Plastics is giving away 10+10 mysterious UV-activated double-shot keycap sets. Check it out, and don't forget where you heard this news. ;)
-
I'm going to postpone this year's MK Advent Calendar. If you'd like to contribute an article, there are still lots of open slots. :)
-
I spent way too much time with testing a $5 tool, but anyway. :D In contrast to classic wire keycap pullers, the Kemove P11 is a novel way to remove caps, four at the same time.
-
A low-profile macropad by Aiden Olsen: k11e1 with Chocs and RGB.
-
Adrian Lym's Sheriff is an ergo split with horizontal encoders.
-
This 42-key wireless split keyboard by Chad Transtrum is called Lintilla.
-
A 36-key low-profile split: ynot by Egradman with roller encoders, trackpoint, and some splay.
-
Pierre Broberg's ACS71 is an asymmetric monoblock split – low profile, 71 keys.
-
A modern geometric keycap profile compatible with both Choc and MX switches: GammaCaps by Grigory Pavlichenko.
As always: much more projects and resources in my weekly (sort of) editorial write-up, switch database, MK meetup calendar and keyboard shop database - with 500+ keyboard vendors!
