trick or treat shop closing soon! 🎃 (+ winter markets!)

hello everyone!!

it’s been a while since i wrote to you. i’ve had a busy few months, and am already preparing for an even busier next month-or-two — more on that (aka: all the holidaytime markets i’m doing around nyc) later!

my shop is closing at the end of november!

i opened up shop for my birthday & halloween, and it’ll stay open for the rest of november! there’s a ton of stickers, buttons, prints, tarot cards, and various other haunted goodies!

as a thank you for subscribing to my newsletter, you can use the code HAUNTING at checkout for a discount!

shop now!

december markets!

saturday december 6, 11am - 4pm: newark zine fest @ the newark museum of art (newark, nj)

sunday december 7, 10am - 4pm: holiday arts & crafts fair @ nook (bushwick, brooklyn, nyc)

saturday december 13, 12 - 6pm: dave’s lesbian bar annual queer holiday market @ bohemian hall & beer garden (astoria, queens, nyc)

brave the cold and come say hi! i’m working on making a bunch of new buttons and prints for these events, and i might also have some offerings beyond what i typically do — i’m thinking about making some sketchbooks to sell, since i’ve been getting into bookbinding to make my own sketchbooks in the past year or so. 👀

new art!

this one is fanart for my friends’ batman podcast bump in the night, which i’ve been listening to a ton lately /7 highly recommend.

and speaking of batman fanart: here’s some batgirls. i’ve been diving into reading more dc comics lately (thanks to a bunch of my friends, including the aforementioned podcasters, who have been very into batman for the past year or so); it feels strange to get back into superhero comics after many years of not really reading any marvel or dc at all, but it turns out some of them are actually very good!

some concept sketches i did for my halloween costume! it didn’t turn out exactly like any of these — i had big plans for a few pieces of it that i didn’t quite get finished in time for halloween, but i want to finish it up at some point to potentially wear to ren fair in the future (or just to reuse for a future halloween). this costume was my second ever project on my sewing machine, and i’m especially super proud of how the corset turned out! you can see photos of the costume on my bluesky here, though i want to take some better pics once i finish up the remaining pieces of the costume.

the above sketches were part of a whole zine i made while figuring out what i wanted to do for halloween, which is available for my patreon subscribers to read!

as a special newsletter treat, here’s some doodles of the two couples from affairs of the haunt, the book i’m working on. (i’m about halfway through inking right now!)
