One year since her last newsletter, Kat rolls out from under her rock. She blinks stupidly in the golden light of early autumn. She gathers a handful of leaves and the last tiny purple wildflowers and hands them to you.

Upcoming events

I will be at Chicago Zine Fest this Saturday, October 10th, table 36B. It’s my first time solo-tabling on my home turf in eleven years, and I’m really excited!!!

CZF is 11am-4pm at the Harold Washington Library (400 S State St), 8th floor (activities) and 9th floor (exhibitors).

I will also be back at SLICE in St. Louis on HALLOWEEN! (Table number TBD.) As Dane would say, oOOoOOoooOooo~~

Speaking of Dane, I made a book!

In celebration of tabling at CZF, I decided to make a collected volume of chapters 1-4 of More Things in Heaven and Earth, the first third of the story. This “remastered” version includes many small revisions, as well as a few new pages.

Designing the cover was quite a long, bumpy road. Maybe I will write a full post about it sometime. I’m really pleased with how it turned out in the end! How many hidden animals can you spot?

The book is available in my online shop now. Orders will start shipping October 15-17.

And don’t forget, you can always read the (un-remastered) version online for free! That makes me just as happy!!

More things about More Things

Chapter 6 is complete and all posted online. Chapter 7 is halfway done and should start going up in the next month or so. I meant to start posting it this summer, but getting the book ready ended up taking WAY longer than I imagined.
