the garden gate, vol. 5 🌿

a note from the gardener
This week has been a deep sigh kind of week. This morning in the prayer closet, I fell asleep with my head against the wall. July is often like this.
Even here, even now — He is moving, He is speaking. (If you see Him, will you tell me? I’ll tell you right back.)
I’m sending something a little simpler today.
This note — the Garden Gate — was never meant to hold everything. It’s just a way in. So instead of a full reflection today, I’m sharing a few recent notes from the garden — each with a link, in case one invites you to read more.
If you’re still here, thank you. It means something real to have a space to speak — even small, even quiet. Thank you for opening the gate.
🌱 from the garden this week:
- when I don’t desire God — a quiet thought about practice, and how desire might grow.
- salvation is about… — a favorite author, adding to the beautiful mystery of atonement.
- putting on the helmet — the piece of armor I’ve been reaching for first.
- core strength — a moment in cold water, and what it taught me about faith.

Let go of “should.” Follow the voice of Love.
God is alive — we don’t have to cling to stone tablets, cold and silent.

Thank you for going down the path with me today. If this is your first time, I encourage you to check out this note explaining the idea of the digital garden and what's up with the weird title 😄.
Peace to you! ✌️
