Sometimes the silence is so loud
I don’t know about you, but there are times when I create content, share it and then … nothing.
Did no one see it? Read it? Like it?
Oh, the doubts that grow when no likes show. 🥺
I started blogging back in 2009. Back in the day, comments were common and plentiful. Right on your blog post! Today, even one would feel like a momentous occasion.
The way people engage with content has really changed.
If the silence leaves you feeling unsure, you’re not alone. But remember:
- When you know your audience well, you can speak directly to their needs with confidence.
- Your expertise is important to your audience and the content you create will grow your following, their interest, and their attention over time.
- People see your content and remember it, even if they don’t engage with it in a way you can see.
It’s gratifying to hear from people who’ve been following you over a period of time and they’re finally ready to work with you. That’s the power of content for your business!

PS - Have you ever had that happen where someone contacted you months or years after they started following? (So cool, right!?) What’s the longest time you’ve heard from a client?
