BC Housing says it's "adjusting the pace of housing investments to align with available funding" — the provincial deficit is doing what local opposition couldn't. Downtown parking is about to get more expensive — and more strictly enforced. Staff presented a five-year overhaul to council Monday: on-street rates rising from $1.25 to $1.50/hour, longer enforcement hours, and expanded paid zones.
