A bear cub found unresponsive near Heffley Lake last Sunday made it 1,800 km round trip to Smithers and back — and will now live at BC Wildlife Park. The male cub was left overnight in case his mother returned; by morning he was still there, cold and unresponsive. A 37-year-old Aberdeen man is in custody after allegedly going "berserk" in the street outside a neighbour's home. Kevin Edward Young is charged with assault, uttering threats, and obstructing police after allegedly threatening a man and his two adult sons to a fight at a Harrison Place residence on March 22.
