City arborists cleaned up the damage Wednesday, including the Pleasant Street Cemetery. Joe Luison says the trees will be replaced through the city's canopy program. (Castanet)

KFR life safety co-ordinator Josh Cowen says this is part of a growing pattern with lithium batteries. (Castanet)
Thirteen miniature dachshunds were seized March 19 from a breeder operating between Clearwater and 100 Mile House. The dogs — some as young as 12 weeks, some as old as 12 years — were found in small cages with no running water, severely overgrown nails, and dental disease their handlers described as unlike anything they'd seen. The investigation started after someone who bought a puppy from the breeder contacted the BC SPCA. (Castanet)
