BC Wildfire Service crews will start burning debris piles at Harper Mountain Ski Hill as early as today. The province is moving to standardize how every municipal council in BC behaves — and Kamloops is part of why. Proposed legislation would create a uniform, mandatory code of conduct for all councils and regional district boards. Councillor O'Reilly, who sat on the working group, called the current patchwork a "dog's breakfast." If it passes in Victoria, it takes effect before October's municipal election.
