i’m thankful that on the first night of our trip visiting my parents (i’m thankful we could have the trip and also i’m thankful that the trip is over), we sat down after several bags from their volcano vaporizer before dinner and there was a lull in the conversation and then my mom nudged my dad and said “well, you should tell them your news” and he said “yeah, i guess i should” and i momentarily prepared myself for the floor to open up into some heavy medical shit (like earlier in the year when my mom did a similar thing on a call and revealed she had a tumor in her eye the treatment of which involved putting radioactive material behind your eye and leaving it there for like two weeks to marinate! anyway she’s fine now) and then my dad revealed that he’s going to be in a drag show this summer thank god lmao
