I am thankful that, after six months of not writing, I just completed and sent off an essay to a magazine I really love.
I am thankful that I took a desk job when freelancing got too overwhelming, and I'm thankful that this job makes me feel useful, and that I made friends, and that when the clock reads 5:30, I'm done for the day.
I'm thankful for generous friends, without whom I'd still be eating oatmeal for lunch (listen, once a day is good, great even, but twice is too much).
I'm so incredibly thankful for the NHS.
I am thankful that I have fresh, clean sheets, and that when I finish telling you what I'm thankful for, I'm going to read 'Sunshine State' in bed.
I'm thankful that it's sunny. I'm thankful that I'm still going. I'm thankful that you're still going too.
