people are often cats
comics from ellen o'grady about palestine (her most recent series: adaptations of letters she sent to her parents when she lived there: 1, 2, 3). the content is important but on the level of style i also love her framing and juxtaposition of different compositions, loose line work, and magical realist flourishes (people are often cats).
in other blessed comics news, edith zimmerman is blogging again on kottke, including diary comics (if you weren't aware, be sure to scroll back, she's been doing it for a week now). i also appreciated her description of her process as i sit here both energized by the practice of regularly writing notes again but also resentful that it seems i have to keep doing it forever in order for my brain to not feel clogged up with thought all the time.
