i'm thankful that though i got (i think) a bee sting on the instep of my right foot yesterday and it swelled up not insignificantly, i was still able to go running this morning.
i'm thankful that my parents (especially my dad, for whom i thought it would click) enjoyed trying out our VR headset (i'm thankful for how my mom almost punched my dad while frantically playing
superhot).
i'm thankful, even though as a narcissist i would prefer to have a public instagram (everything public all the time), that my parents have no access to my instagram because it is private (i'm thankful that also they hopefully do not read this newsletter, or if they do they have learned that i do not want to talk to them about it ever). i'm thankful for encapsulation, the separation of spaces.
i'm thankful kh liked the book i sent her
i'm thankful to experience d, the biggest billie fan i know, trying to wait out her vinyl arriving so that can be her first experience of the new album (and i'm thankful if she also decides not to do it and we can listen earlier). i'm thankful for the chugging chorus of "
NDA".
i'm thankful for our air conditioner, which is reliable and strong, even if it's annoying to have to have it on constantly because it's 95 degrees and the sound of it competes with the speakers when we want to play music.
