i'm thankful for captain crunch, which i had not eaten in years but which is wonderfully engineered to square the circle of the crunchy/creamy dialectic

i'm thankful for this video ec shared of a dog playing jenga, which is riveting and inspiring: https://m.facebook.com/uniladmag/videos/390284098495920/

i'm thankful for this other deeply satisfying video of a perfectly rolled ball:

i'm thankful for anna wiener's uncanny valley (
https://www.amazon.com/Uncanny-Valley-Memoir-Anna-Wiener-ebook/), a memoir of being a literary person who starts working in customer support, which, during this week between tech jobs, feels like a view into other sliding doors not walked through.

i'm thankful, at t's party, for e's description of herb alpert and the tijuana brass as the "hey ya" of its time. i'm thankful to have shared the turtle video with her.

i'm thankful that d had fun at the felting class she took and i'm thankful that she was able to demonstrate the process of taking the raw felt material and stabbing it repeatedly with a needle, which slowly tightens it into a form, something which is very satisfying to watch and that i will also never do myself. i'm thankful for her next project, which is to build a tiny miso.

i'm thankful that the neighbors were in their back yard all yesterday afternoon, which meant that i couldn't let miso out there because she would bark a lot and then i would have to go interact with them, and so instead that meant that i took miso on a nice walk. i'm thankful that it's been in the mid fifties every day and hasn't rained much lately.

i'm thankful that even though she just started her new job d was able to take the first four days of this week off so we can be on vacation together. i'm thankful that we're going to the grocery store today and that this week provides a great opportunity to try adding some new recipes to the repertoire.

i'm thankful that though i feel asleep during doctor sleep (lol), i can watch the part i slept through today. i'm thankful that i have been falling asleep more readily without trying to lately, even if that's sometimes annoying, since it speaks to a level of comfort and relaxation to which i have long aspired
