i'm thankful to have watched, after the warmest day of the year on monday, snow falling to carpet the yard yesterday afternoon. i'm thankful for the evanescence of weather. i'm thankful for small and perfectly formed pieces of warmth.

i'm thankful for this new MGMT song, which is a melty cheeseburger of a song. i'm thankful for big reverb and slow phasers.

i'm thankful to have comforted a coworker who came to me about something that was stressing her out and to follow up with her today so that she has the opportunity to vent more if she wants to.

i'm thankful to try to remember that i should treat my own stress the way that i treat the stress of others, which is something i don't always do. i'm thankful that i reached out to a coworker with whom i had been starting to plan an overly ambitious april fools gag to say that i didn't think i had the time or energy to follow through and i'm thankful he felt the same way and we decided to do it for halloween instead. i'm thankful to try to mark down in my memory the relief that saying aloud the stress i had been carrying inside gave me.

i'm thankful that when an environment problem prevented me from doing the work i was planning to do after work yesterday, i, rather than continuing to try to do it, laid on the living room floor in front of our speakers and listened to old rock music very loud. 

i'm thankful for hyori's bed and breakfast, which is excellent for self-soothing. i'm thankful to go do some dishes before the workday starts, which may or may not soothe me, but will at the very least result in some dishes being done.
