i'm thankful to write down the things i need to do before leaving on my trip tomorrow, which include doing a load of laundry, packing my clothes (and various accessories, like my little bluetooth speaker), going to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, filling my medication organizer, forwarding my tickets and contact info i need from my work gmail to my personal gmail, installing the slack app on my phone, setting up expensify and submitting my travel expenses, and working on the presentation i have to give on our team day. i'm thankful that though i have to be at the shuttle at an ungodly early hour tomorrow to make it to the airport in time for my flight, d is going to get up early and drop me off at the pick up spot.

i'm thankful that though i'm excited to see my work friends, i am already preemptively missing d. i'm thankful, even though that is painful, it also shows how much i love her. i'm thankful that a week away is not that long once you're inside it, even though it can sometimes feel like it when you're thinking about it in the abstract.

i'm thankful for my new favorite video genre, which is the creation of elaborate environments for cats. i'm thankful for the wonder of this one and this one and the poignancy of the time-lapse destruction of same in this one. i'm thankful for this vlogger, whose channel d and i really got into over the weekend. i'm thankful for this video of she and a fellow blogger inflating themselves into giant balloons. i'm thankful for the "Try not to get Satisfied challenge.. (99.97% fail)" video. i'm thankful when i fail to try again, fail better.
