                        i'm thankful that though i felt a bit nauseous after eating breakfast this morning, it has mostly passed.

i'm thankful that though i didn't want to take out the trash and recycling last night, i did it anyway. i'm thankful that the sanitation workers came and took it away this morning.

i'm thankful for this photo of albert ayler greeting the sun. i'm thankful for the new sun ra singles compilation. i'm thankful for alice coltrane. 

i'm thankful for ta-nehisi coates. i'm thankful my president is black. i'm thankful for barry jenkins.

i'm thankful that it was hard going back to work but i'm thankful that i got through the day and got a lot of things done. i'm thankful that today is a new day.
