i'm thankful for when i'm playing tug of war with miso and i let my end go and she briefly rears back and celebrates by whipping her neck around to flurry the toy, but then comes back toward me and awkwardly but excitedly tries to put my end back in my hand so we can continue playing

i'm thankful for my pairing with the kind engineer, who was as always kind, and i'm thankful that another teammate i paired with yesterday said he had been looking forward to pairing with me all week. i'm thankful that the new feature i built last week to support the features i'm building this week worked as intended when i started using it.

i'm thankful that today is our monthly in-person coworking and that i'm going to go, even though i don't really want to go, because i didn't really want to go last time, but i was ultimately glad that i went. i'm thankful for the weird anxiety dream i had about it, where the coworking space we use was some kind of 24 hour dickensian boarding house. i'm thankful i'll get to pair with k at coworking today and that s is in town from australia this week and next week so i'll get to hang out with him sometime soon. 

i'm thankful to d for making this recipe (https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020103-pasta-with-roasted-broccoli-almonds-and-anchovies)yesterday, which was so tasty, bright with lemon and briny with anchovy, definitely a keeper. i'm thankful that we resolved an ongoing misunderstanding about how butter is shaped and portioned in oregon. i'm thankful there are leftovers.

i'm thankful for rhythm and flow, which just gets more entertaining. i'm thankful that last night's episode was rap battles and i'm thankful for how interesting it is to see people giving performances of verses they've just written, how some of them lock into the beat of something good and others get flustered, befuddled. i'm thankful for how listening to rap puts my mind in a space of increased sensitivity to sound and sense.

i'm thankful it's not too cold today.
