i'm thankful to try writing these notes in the evening now, since even though i have been getting up earlier and going to work later to make space, miso seems to fill any volume of available time. i'm thankful that's both good and bad.
i'm thankful that my phone has unlimited data, which is something i don't think i've ever written about being thankful for but which i am thankful for all the time.
i'm thankful that though i have been waking up earlier than the early i intend to wake up, i have been trying to accept it and do meditation during that period. i'm thankful that if meditation doesn't work there is always medication.
i'm thankful i made chili verde this weekend. i'm thankful that i bought a whole pork because they didn't have the cut i usually buy on sale and it was cheaper by volume. i'm thankful for el yucateco xxxtra hot habanero hot sauce.
i'm thankful after eating a heavily caloric dessert i wasn't hungry for the last two nights, i am going to have something lighter tonight, and possibly also do some yoga.
i'm thankful that though i was a little slow getting back into the flow of working on my project, i got somewhere by the end of the day and i know where i'm going tomorrow. i'm thankful to be back to
dogfooding the tool i am making, which is one of those weird tech phrases that everyone says like it's obvious even though it's extremely weird when you hear it for the first time (i'm thankful for this quote from that link: "
A CIO at Microsoft tried to turn kibble into “icecreaming,” and Pegasystems said that it was “drinking our own champagne”—but neither stuck.")
i'm thankful to have finished a reread of
seveneves, which is one of my favorite books that i can slip into and read like a child. i'm thankful to have started
the name of the wind after some coworkers were speaking rapturously of it at korean barbecue.
i'm thankful a coworker who i didn't like quit suddenly. i'm thankful for the people in my work group chat.
i'm thankful for my
worth control. i'm thankful that i continue to survive my attitude, and that you do as well.
