What is the Bible? (6 sessions) Cost: $50
Monday September 16th to October 21st from 5:30pm-7:00pm | Located in the Virginia Swartz Room
Join us this fall for a 6-week course designed for people of all faiths or no faith as a broad overview of the Bible. We will learn how to select a Bible suitable for your needs, how the Bible is organized, and who decided what parts were in and what parts were out. Additionally, we’ll explore different ways people approach the text and what archaeology has to tell us about the text, and where to go with your questions about this wonderful, baffling, beautiful, unsettling book we call the Bible.
The Language of Technology: Learning the Lingo Lets You Use the Technology (1 session) Cost: $10
Monday September 17th from 5:30pm-6:30pm | Located in the Virginia Swartz Room
Do you know what ‘the cloud’, syncing, pairing, and other current tech terms mean? It’s important to learn the current “tech lingo” to better use your devices and navigate our digital world. Bring any device you use so we can identify what certain parts of it mean.
Learning how to use Facebook Cost $10
Tuesday September 24th from 5:30pm-7:30pm AND Tuesday October 22nd from 1:00pm-3:00pm
We will walk you through the necessary steps to use Facebook: using your email address or phone number to create an account, navigating the Facebook environment, controlling privacy settings, and uploading pictures. Bring your device–phone, tablet, or laptop–and your friends!
