2025 January: Diary comics
During the holidays and Zwischenzeit (the German word for the liminal week between Christmas and New Year), I became a nocturnal creature, which does not bode well for the next 3 months of grey Berlin skies. I need to see all the natural light I can. My ideal solution would be to get a puppy who would drag me out for morning walks, but that needs to wait. So I make easy diary comics in the morning when it feels insulting to do 'real work'.
Day 1

Day 2

Day 3
I have a particular weather sensitivity: I always feel so tense before a snowfall.

Day 4
A recent sartorial choice made me quite popular among children.

Day 5
Any resemblance to an actual event or person is purely fictional, of course.

Day 6
This one is based on an actual event.

I love Austin Kleon's idea of postponing new habits until February (only 4 weeks! no holiday spirit hangover!), so I will try something more skill-focused after this experiment.
The finished pages of the Pigeons comics have a home! Well, not a publisher, just a fix URL, so you can read it continuously.
Nicolas Nova, one of my old (but not old!) uni professors passed away. He had so much faith in my ability to read academic books and articles in French almost as soon as I moved to Geneva. His infinite curiosity, creativity and enthusiastic mentorship will be missed.

Take care,
Julia
