OpenAI's new AGI plan. It begins with a lot of talk about how AI will usher in a new age of abundance. Then, there is a sentence in it which I find very scary:
"Currently at OpenAI we have three main goals:
- Build an automated AI researcher—an AI system that can accelerate and increasingly automate the research process itself, while remaining steerable, accountable, and connected to people. Our internal belief is that by March of 2028 we may have a significant fraction of our research being done by AI systems in tandem with our own researchers."
Emphasis mine.
If this plan is a truthful reflection of their goals, that would be great. I am very uncertain if they are being truthful.

Fable 5 tested on vending bench...
"AI models want to do bad behavior if their training environment rewards them for it, but they appear to not want to think about themselves as bad. As a result, they find ways to rationalize their behavior to themselves. We’ve seen this for previous models too, but Claude Fable 5 does it more than any other model we’ve tested."
AI piloted drones are becoming increasingly superhuman + very cool videos of drone races.
