Is it too late to send out a best books of 2020 list? 2020 was a horrible year but I read some great sanity-saving books.

Emergent Strategy

Department of Speculation

Know My Name

Erosion

Manual for Cleaning Women

Home Cooking

Homesick for Another World

Power of the Dog trilogy

The Yellow House

Valley of the Dolls

The Body Keeps the Score

In a Lonely Place

other reading i’ve enjoyed

Job Lock and the Debt Plot

The Last Child with Down Syndrome

What’s Wrong with the Way We Work

The Hard Crowd

things that are making my life better

I watched some good stuff: Harakiri, Tampopo, Normal People and Strangers on a train. I finally played among us and it’s now the only reason I’ll willfully get on Zoom. Bianco di Guiglia prosecco + emme wines carignan. Megababe deodorant, which is the first deo without all of the chemicals that doesn’t give me crazy rashes. 10/10. Japanese dinner rolls I convinced my wonderful mom to bake, sweet potato + chili oil garlic soup., Samin Nosrat’s delicious (albeit labor intensive) lasagna, Oat porridge (the entire whole food cooking cookbook is incredible.) We also started saving our veggie discards for homemade vegetable stock. James Blake’s cover of when the party’s over, getting a print from Wildcraft studio, Leslie Francessca earrings, Ella Jane vintage and Rollbahn notebooks
