SurviveJS - 2.0.0-rc2 is available

It’s not the most exciting release, but it counts.

** Getting closer

** And started to work with Redux

Just thought to let you know a new release candidate of the book is available now. Most importantly a property initializer specific glitch (missing semicolon) was fixed. Apart from that, this is a very boring release, but that’s how I like my release candidates. See the release notes (http://survivejs.com/blog/survivejs200-rc2/) for the exact details.

In other news I modernized my Redux implementation of Kanban (https://github.com/survivejs/redux-demo) and tried to figure out a neater way to configure Webpack (https://github.com/survivejs/react-component-boilerplate/blob/webpackrc/.webpackrc) . We can learn something from Babel perhaps.

After I get the final release out in a week or two, I’ll focus on porting the content to Redux. This will be a good opportunity to discuss Immutable.js (https://facebook.github.io/immutable-js/) as well, given the approach works beautifully with it.

You can reach me easily by responding to this mail. There’s also an interactive support channel (https://gitter.im/survivejs/webpack_react) available and I’m around quite a lot. Feel free to pop by. Lurkers are welcome as well to honor ancient chat habits. :)
