JavaScript Everywhere

Greetings!

As the weather begins to turn and I do my best Mr. Autumn Man impersonation, I also have exciting book news. A couple of weeks ago, I turned my initial draft of JavaScript Everywhere over to my editors at O’Reilly. They are currently in the process of doing a technical review, which I will receive back in mid-October. From there, I’ll make updates and begin preparing the finial draft. It’s been a whirlwind to get to this point, but I am really excited by the way that the book is shaping up.

For now, if you’re interested, feel free to check out the GitHub code sample repos. Each of these contains the final book code as well as a chapter by chapter breakdown:

  • API: A Node.js API, built with Express, Apollo Server, and MongoDB
  • Web: A Web application built with React Native, Apollo Client, and Styled Components
  • Mobile: A native mobile application built with React Native, Expo, Apollo Client, and Styled Components
  • Desktop: An Electron app shell

You can also sign up for our Spectrum Community, which is quiet for now, but will provide a forum to ask me questions or interact with other readers once the book is out.

Thanks for reading!

Take care, Adam
