Joseph Zitt's [as if in dreams] 2025-05-26
This is mostly a test, as I try to do some things correctly with the emailing software that I had kind of hacked together before. (And big thanks, once again, to the wonderful support folks at Buttondown for helping me get it right.)
That said, I’m increasingly happy with my choice yesterday to release my eBook via the Internet Archive (https://archive.org/details/zitt-a-momentary-war/). It made it easy to get online, distribute, and announce, and I can be reasonably sure that it will be there for something like posterity.
I think I may also put my film project up there, too, when it’s finished. It wouldn’t be a good choice for people who have to make a living off their art or to otherwise monetize it, but for my particular circumstances, I’m happy.
Today was an odd sort of vacation. I had gone to Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv (where the upper floors are back in business, and, I supposed, the lower parking decks aren’t being reserved as shelters. I thought that i would get back to the House in time for supper, but some mistakes with buses took me to the beach, then to some suburbs north of here, past malls I’d never heard of, and then to the bus terminal at the far end of the line home, where I had some phenomenal shawarma.
At least I got away from my desk.
