Where in the world has Trump not crimed?

An idea for a game inspired by the classic "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?"

I finished my work-time today and realized, much later, I had forgotten to write and post. Instead of writing myself, I was curious.

So, I took one of my scattered notes in my piles of ideas, asked Claude to generate a pitch around the idea.

Metadata says I last edited this idea on October 21, 2019.

Enjoy!

Inspired by the beloved classic “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”, “Where in the Law Has Trump Not Crimed?” is an engaging educational game that takes players on a wild chase through the web of legal infractions, shady dealings, and international intrigue surrounding former President Donald Trump.

In this game, players take on the role of investigative journalists or legal analysts, tasked with uncovering the truth behind Trump's ever-expanding list of alleged crimes and misdemeanors. From campaign finance violations to tax evasion, money laundering to collusion with foreign adversaries, the game challenges players to follow the trail of evidence and unravel the complex web of corruption that has plagued Trump's political and business activities.

Gameplay

The game begins with a set of initial "cases" based on Trump's well-documented legal troubles up to a certain cutoff date (e.g., August 2023). As players progress through the game, they'll encounter new "editions" or expansions that introduce additional crimes and investigations, ensuring the game remains up-to-date with the latest developments.

Each case presents players with a series of clues, leads, and investigative tasks that they must navigate to uncover the truth. Players will scour through documents, interview witnesses, and analyze financial records to piece together the evidence and determine the extent of Trump's criminal involvement.

The game incorporates elements of deduction, analysis, and strategic thinking, as players must carefully weigh the information they gather and make informed decisions about where to focus their investigations. Correct conclusions and well-reasoned arguments are rewarded, while missteps or jumping to unsupported conclusions can lead to penalties or setbacks.

Educational Value

Beyond the engaging gameplay, “Where in the Law Has Trump Not Crimed?” is designed to be a powerful educational tool, providing players with a comprehensive understanding of the complex legal and political landscape surrounding the former president's actions.

The game delves into the intricacies of the American justice system, highlighting the checks and balances, loopholes, and gray areas that have allowed Trump to evade prosecution in some cases. It also explores the interconnections between Trump's business dealings, political influence, and the web of international oligarchs and dictators with whom he has been associated.

By immersing players in this investigative experience, the game aims to foster critical thinking, media literacy, and a deeper appreciation for the importance of a strong, independent judiciary and a vigilant, informed citizenry in a healthy democracy.

Replayability and Expansion

As new developments and investigations unfold, the game will be updated with "expansion packs" that introduce additional cases and storylines. This ensures the game remains relevant and engaging, reflecting the evolving nature of Trump's legal challenges and the ongoing pursuit of justice.

Additionally, the game design allows for the integration of user-generated content, such as community-created cases, investigations, and even branching narratives that explore alternative scenarios or lesser-known aspects of Trump's alleged crimes.

The potential for this game to grow and evolve alongside the ever-changing landscape of Trump's legal troubles makes it a dynamic and endlessly engaging educational experience.

Target Audience and Marketing

“Where in the Law Has Trump Not Crimed?” is designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences, from civically engaged citizens and students to legal professionals and political analysts. The game's educational focus and interactive storytelling make it an ideal tool for classrooms, civic organizations, and media outlets looking to inform and empower their audiences.

The game's marketing strategy will leverage its unique blend of entertainment and education, positioning it as a must-have resource for anyone interested in understanding the complex legal and political challenges surrounding the former president. Partnerships with educational institutions, political organizations, and gaming communities will be key to reaching the target audience and building a passionate fan base.
