Hello internet friends,
Our last correspondence finished with a few prompting questions that guided my thinking over the past weeks:
How does this practice translate into business
What would those services be, exactly?
As this year’s first quarter closes, reflecting, it’s been a season of web development. The first half, I was deep in the CSS, refining & polishing Trailmarks—the travel, quiz, card game just launched last week! The second half, I’ve been elbow-deep developing (and designing along the way) an agency’s Wordpress website.
While the development’s been underway, I’ve been attempting to work with the founders on developing their site’s content. I found the brand guide they provided woefully lacking, only focused on very high level visuals rather than…the company’s identity.
That led to one of the first service offerings that explores answering the prompts from the last newsletter.
In this package, we work with leaders who want to develop values and guiding principles as individual leaders, as a team, or for their organization.
Individual | 3M / 1Q | $5–25k/mo |
Team | 3M / 1Q | $10–50k/mo |
Organization | 6M / 1H | $30k–150k/mo |
As an individual leader, how do you communicate your decision making to instill a sense of trust in not just how you're spending your time, bu why. Deepen relationships with your teams by investing time to understand, develop, and communicate your leadership philosophy.
As a team, this work cultivates space for vulnerability & relationship building while co-creating a foundational decision-making framework.
As organizations, there's a deeper need for bringing those principles & values into the accountability framework, systems, processes, and rituals of the company.
Each package is unique to the client themselves.
This is a paid discovery time, where we get to know each other and figure out what's needed to address the current situation. Clients would walk away with a written proposal of how we see things, to prepare for a longer engagement.
They can also just take the proposal to help inform the next move or give to another consultant to inform or build upon...or just do it themselves.
My current contract is finishing up in April and am looking for my next thing.
If any of these packages sound interesting (to you or for someone you know) let me know!
It’d be great to get started.
Apart from some real-life physical gardening, I went on a slew of cleaning up drafts, publishing incomplete thoughts and labeling their respective stage of my digital garden.

Wired for Design, a podcast is around cultivating and figuring out what sort of podcast I want to create. Lots of my conversations happen to be around neurodivergence, design, and work. This would be a fun way to talk with people regularly. 922 words; 5.6k chars; ~4min read.
Purposeful Friction is about the process being the point, how documentation is important, and friction is a necessary aspect of creation. Friction of learning, of doing, of continuing. 482 words; 3.1k chars; ~2.5min read.
Product Design Engineering Management is an exploration of naming what I do, thinking of trying to plot it on a W∩X∩Y∩Z axis. It’s basically breaking down the four words, as as sort of factorial. 479 words; 3.0k chars; ~2min read.
Though, it is for this newsletter. I will be developing some new newsletters, and this being my monthly update for my practices and crafts.
Thank you for reading.
Be safe; take care, and till next time,
Jonathan
