Two Events and a quick Greater New York review
Next week, on Friday, April 24, I will discuss Sascha Braunig’s work with her at Magenta Plains, where her show “Cauldron” is currently on view. Email the gallery info@magentaplains.com to RSVP.
Next month, on Monday, May 20, I will talk about Carol Rama with Massimiliano Gioni at Hauser & Wirth on 22nd Street for the occasion of Rama’s first exhibition with the gallery. Register here.
I quickly wrote a review, it’s not exactly a review, more like first impressions, of Greater New York at MoMA PS1. There’s more to say: I wanted to write also about Coco Klockner and Tiffany Sia and look more closely at production values, scale, and the implicit career/exhibition ambitions of the work overall in terms of the much-debated Josh Kline essay, but it was a quick turnaround thing…
Also, have you read the one-sentence reviews yet? I wrote about Carol Bove, Nicola Tyson, Doron Langberg, and Brock Enright (and there are 21 more)!
What about my piece on the New Museum reopening?
And soon I’m off to Venice! My first time at the biennale. Send tips!
