Livestream Link, Aspen, Two Recommendations

The Studio Demo session with The Critics’ Table and Ajay Kurian is at 4:30 tomorrow, 6/6, and will be livestreamed and archived here. For more thinking on the state of criticism, I recommend Elvia Wilk’s newsletter—this particular piece focuses on literary criticism but applies broadly. Also, a press release wall of shame (an anonymous account that posts exhibition texts) has been established on IG here. Recommended if you feel crazy and alone coping with daily exposure to such materials.

A black-and-white press portrait of Johanna Fateman and a cropped image of a painting by Issy Wood of a woman's face. She looks toward the viewer and is wearing some kind of mossy green facial mask and is resting her cheek in her hand.

In Aspen this summer? Unlikely, I know. But if you are: I will be talking to Issy Wood on July 28th as part of the Anderson Ranch Summer Series.

Note: Please forward these emails to people who you think may want to know what I’m doing. The idea was to stay in touch with people who are not on social media or who are trying to leave, but without social media I can’t reach them.

And: New piece by John on TCT now!
