Track-By-Track: O/B #03
Ben Liebrand gives the 1986 original a light-touch update, in which it loses its live feel and funky guitar licks and gains some shiny synth swagger and, uh, some church bells? I think it's a mistake to try and say that one is better or worse than the other, they just do the same thing differently: moody, offbeat whimsy for dancing to.
Liebrand is a giant of the edit and the remix world and also made more than a couple of bangers under his own name. Apparently he also inspired Armin Van Buuren to get into dance music, so we have to thank him for that too.

Note: this is an entry in the Track-By-Track series for my mix for O/B.
Track-By-Track is a series that looks back at records you will have heard in my mixes, one by one in the order they were played. Who made them, and when? How did I come across them? And what do they make me feel?
