Track-By-Track: BSU #13

Back in 1992, Three-Bu were among good company on Antima and Mystic Records, releasing alongside such classics as Omniverse, Oneiric and the supergroup Riviera Traxx. This is a gorgeous slice of Italian deep house, which stands out thanks to those super satisfying atmospherics echoing away in the background, giving the whole thing a moody edge.

Check the discogs page if you want to witness the stunningly bad singing on the vocal version. This is in the long tradition of #gashvocals, a phenomenon I've been documenting since my blogging days over a decade ago. I'm actually quite keen on more vocals being played out, but not when they're this dreadful. Someone on discogs calls it 'severely underrated, sexy, soulful' so I guess it takes all sorts.

Note: this is an entry in the Track-By-Track series for my mix for Butter Side Up.

Track-By-Track is a series that looks back at records you will have heard in my mixes, one by one in the order they were played. Who made them, and when? How did I come across them? And what do they make me feel?
